FAQ

Where are you in all this?

Pick where you are and we’ll show you the questions people ask there, from “what does this cost” to “what if you break something.” Real prices are on this page. Nothing is hidden behind a phone call. All prices + sales tax where it applies.

Step 01 of 05Before you book

Before you book

Cost, scope, and whether we're even the right fit.

How much does a cleaning cost?

Flat, by the size of the home — not by the hour.

Under 1,000 sq ft includes 2 bed / 1 bath$140
1,000–2,000 sq ft includes 3 bed / 2 bath$195
2,000–3,000 sq ft includes 4 bed / 3 bath$240
3,000+ sq ft we measure the home and quote itPer home
Each extra bedroom+$45
Each extra bathroom+$55
Half-bath+$35

Above 3,000 sq ft we quote each home, because one flat number would make a 6,000 sq ft house pay like a 3,100 sq ft one. Recurring plans come down from there — weekly −20%, every two weeks −12%, monthly −5%.

Book your free walkthrough → — or text (513) 402-0647. Same-week slots most weeks.

Why can't you just quote me over text?

Because a number given over text is a guess, and a guess is what turns into “actually, it’ll be a bit more” once we’re standing in your kitchen. We’d rather never put you in that moment.

So we walk the home with you first. It takes about fifteen minutes, it’s free, and there’s no obligation at the end of it. The walkthrough is the last time the number ever moves.

What costs extra?

Occasional things — not missing things. Inside the oven, inside the fridge, inside cabinets, interior windows, blinds, ceiling fans, pet-hair treatment, laundry, linens.

Every one of them has a published price, and every one gets added at the walkthrough — never after we’ve started. Six of them come free with a deep clean.

What do you never charge for?

  • Supplies and equipment
  • Eco- and pet-safe products
  • Having pets in the home
  • Deposits or card fees
  • The walkthrough itself

Do I have to sign a contract?

No. There’s no contract and nothing to cancel. Pause for a vacation, skip a week, or stop entirely — just tell us.

We already have a cleaner — is switching a hassle?

No. Book the free walkthrough, and if your home’s been professionally maintained, your first visit is priced for the house we actually find — not a blanket deep-clean charge. You’ll have both numbers before you decide anything, and there’s no contract on either end.

What's included in a regular clean?

The whole house — not a starting point.

  • Counters & backsplash degreased
  • Sinks, faucets & mirrors shined
  • Toilets, tubs & showers scrubbed
  • Floors vacuumed & mopped
  • Surfaces & décor dusted
  • Trash out, beds made
  • Cobwebs cleared room by room
  • Switch plates & handles wiped

What's the difference between a regular clean and a deep clean?

A regular clean maintains. A deep clean resets — the corners, edges and insides a maintenance visit doesn’t reach.

  • Baseboards hand-wiped, whole house
  • Window tracks & sills detailed
  • Blinds dusted, set by set
  • Ceiling fans wiped down
  • Inside the microwave
  • Countertop polish

Each of those six would be a paid add-on on any other visit. On a deep clean they’re simply included.

What don't you do?

  • Move heavy furniture
  • Tall ladders
  • Biohazard or mold
  • Exterior windows
  • Construction debris

Better you know now than at the door.

Will I get the same cleaners every time?

Yes — the same faces, every time.

It’s a mother and her son — that’s the whole team. On your regular visits it’s often one of us and sometimes both — but it is always one of us. You’ll never open the door to someone you haven’t met, and you’ll never have to explain how you like your kitchen done twice.

Do you speak Spanish?

We speak both. Se habla español.

Spanish is a first language here, so nothing gets lost in the middle — not what you want done, and not what it costs.

Who is actually coming into my house?

Roque Cleaning Co. is a registered Ohio LLC, and the people who run it are the people who clean — every visit. No subcontractors, no rotating crews, no one you haven’t met.

You meet us at the walkthrough, before you’ve committed to anything. If it doesn’t feel right, you don’t book. That’s the point of doing it in that order.

How far ahead do I need to book?

Text us your timing and we’ll find the soonest that works — often the same week.

We keep a small calendar on purpose — every job gets the same hands. The further ahead you tell us, the more likely you get the day you actually want.

What areas do you serve?

The north Cincinnati suburbs: Springdale, Sharonville, Blue Ash, Evendale, Glendale, Wyoming, Forest Park, Fairfield, West Chester, Mason, Montgomery, Loveland, Madeira, and the Liberty, Symmes and Deerfield townships.

Not sure whether you’re in it? Text us your ZIP and we’ll tell you straight — we won’t say yes to a drive we can’t do reliably.

Do you do move-outs and RVs?

Both. Move-out and move-in cleans are priced on the empty home — there’s more surface exposed and no furniture to work around, so it’s a different job from a maintenance visit.

RVs and campers are interior only, from $250, always after a walkthrough. No holding tanks, no roof, no exterior, no awnings.

The walkthrough

Fifteen minutes. Then you know the number.

It’s the part nobody explains, so here it is in full — nobody is going to sell you anything at your own front door.

  1. We look at every room togetherYou point out what matters to you and what doesn’t. The dog’s bed. The one shelf nobody touches. The thing your last cleaner always missed.
  2. We tell you the price, out loud, on the spotNot a range, not “starting at.” The number. If it’s more than you wanted to spend, that is a completely fine thing to say.
  3. We agree what’s included and what isn’tAnything extra gets added here, at your kitchen table, in front of you — never once we’ve started.
  4. You decide later, not nowNobody is going to close you at your own door. Take the number and think about it.

Before your first clean

The small stuff people are too polite to ask.

Why does the first clean cost more?

Because it’s different work, not the same work repeated. The first visit takes us two to four times longer — we’re catching a house up before we can start maintaining it. You pay that once, to set the baseline.

Most first visits are a deep clean, but not all. We pick the type with you at the walkthrough, from the house in front of us. A place cleaned last month doesn’t get charged like one that hasn’t been touched in a year.

Do I need to clean before you come?

No — and please don’t scrub anything. We’ve seen houses. Yours is fine.

The one thing that genuinely helps is clearing the surfaces of things only you can put away — mail, toys, laundry. We can clean a counter far faster than we can work out where your things live. That’s tidying, not cleaning.

If you’d rather we handled that too, that’s organizing, and we’ll price it for you rather than quietly skip it.

Do you bring your own supplies?

Everything — products, vacuum, cloths, the lot. Nothing of yours gets used up.

If you’d rather we used your products — an allergy, a stone counter, a finish you’re particular about — just say so and we will.

Are your products safe for kids and pets?

Yes, and that’s the default rather than an upgrade — we don’t charge extra for it.

If someone in the house has a specific sensitivity, tell us at the walkthrough and we’ll use what you want us to use.

How do you get in if I'm not home?

However you’re comfortable — you’re home, a lockbox, a door code, or a key arrangement. We agree on it at the walkthrough and we don’t change it without asking you first.

On cleaning day

What actually happens while we're in the house.

Can the price change after we agree on it?

No. The number we write down at the walkthrough is the number on the invoice.

There’s no hourly meter, so it doesn’t matter if the house takes us longer than we thought — that’s our problem, not your bill. And we never add anything mid-job. If you want something extra, we agree on it before we start.

Do I need to be home?

Once — for the walkthrough. After that it’s entirely up to you.

Some clients let us in and head to work. Some stay and make coffee. Neither one changes the clean, and we don’t have an opinion about which you pick.

How long does a clean take?

We’ll give you a real window at the walkthrough, once we’ve seen the house. It’s usually less time than people expect.

What we won’t do is bill by the hour. If it takes us longer than we thought, the price is still the price.

What about my pets?

Tell us about them at the walkthrough and we’ll plan around them. There’s no pet fee.

If shedding is heavy, pet-hair treatment is a $30 add-on — but simply having a dog in the house costs nothing.

After the clean

Paying, tipping, and what comes next.

How do I pay?

Cash, check, or Zelle — whatever’s easiest. Venmo or Cash App by request.

Payment is due the day of the clean. No deposit, no card on file, no auto-charge.

Am I supposed to tip?

You’re not expected to. The price already pays us properly — that’s the whole point of setting it at the walkthrough instead of squeezing it.

If you want a benchmark anyway: most people who tip a cleaner do it once, around the holidays, and it’s usually about $50. Per visit, most people don’t. Either way it changes nothing about how your home gets cleaned.

What's the 4th-clean reward?

Start a recurring plan and your 4th clean is half off, up to $100.

Your first clean is priced for the work it actually takes, with nothing held back — the reward comes once you’re settled in. On a 2,000–3,000 sq ft plan that’s the full $100. On a smaller home it’s half your rate, which is less. We’d rather tell you that than advertise a round number that isn’t true for you.

One-time cleans don’t reach it. There’s nothing to cancel — if you stop before the 4th visit you simply don’t get there.

Can I skip a visit or pause for a while?

Yes. No fee, no penalty. Tell us and we’ll move it or hold it.

If something goes wrong

The honest answers. Including the one you won't like.

What if I'm not happy with the clean?

Tell us within 24 hours and we come back and re-clean that area free. No forms, no argument, no “well, technically.”

The 24 hours is so we can fix it while it’s still the same clean — not so we can run out a clock. And you don’t have to be nice about it. We’d far rather hear it than not.

Are you insured and bonded?

No — and we’d rather say that plainly than have you find out later.

We’re a two-person family business, not an agency. The people cleaning your home are the family that runs it, and our name is on it. If we ever damage something, you’ll hear it from us the same day — and we deal with it directly, without a claims department in the middle.

If carrying insurance is a hard requirement for you, we understand completely, and we’d rather tell you that now than after we’ve started.

What if something gets broken?

We tell you. The same day, before you find it — even when it’s something you probably would never have noticed.

What happens next, we work out with you directly. There’s no claims department and no form to fill in, because there’s no company standing between us and you.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Just tell us as early as you can. We won’t fine you for it.

Our calendar is small and real, so the earlier we know, the more likely the slot goes to another neighbor instead of sitting empty.

Am I taking on an employee by hiring you?

No. Roque Cleaning Co. is an LLC — you’re hiring a business, not putting a person on your payroll. There’s nothing for you to file for us.

Almost nobody in this market answers this question. It comes up more than people admit, so we’d rather it be written down.
